For the past 6 months or so, I've been getting into electro-pop music. LIGHTS is my newest artist of interest. And yes, it says "Lights" right on her birth certificate. A friend of mine is bringing me her CD today... Can't wait! ))
LIGHTS is a gorgeous Canadian girl who moved around a lot with here parents as she was growing up. She says that the world of music is where she found consistency... it "always stayed the same."
From her website: Most 22-yr-old pop stars have an army of professional image sculptors behind them: producers, songwriters, stylists, and abused assistants. But LIGHTS, who grew up all over the world, is used to traveling light. So she decided she'd simplify things by doing all those jobs by herself. "It's easy to misconstrue a young girl singer as a total puppet. I am the opposite of that. This is what I do. I am LIGHTS."
LIGHTS just had a show in Portland this week. I had to read for class all night. Hhhhh... :P
