Yes. I need a unique logo. Yes, I need to take better pictures. But hey, I figured getting up and running was a good start. No? ))
The three listed items are all necklaces. Earrings will be coming in February... or at least that's the plan. ))
Here's what I've listed
Remember this? My Hand-knotted freshwater pearl necklace w/ white, pink, and peach pearls. I love this necklace so much. You can read more about it on the Etsy posting page, if you'd like. ))
This second hand-knotted freshwater pearl necklace is super unique because of it's a buttercream coloring. They've been dyed, but still. I have yet to see pearls in this shade before. And their hughes are gold and peach, so depending on what you wear with it, the necklace will look a little different in coloring. Lustrous pearls are great like that. )))
Don't you just love the rose clasp that each of these necklaces have? It's so pretty and feminine. ^_^
I've called my 3rd item The Jasmine Necklace. It's made entirely out of faceted stones, both genuine coral and turquoise. It's also been a struggle to list this one because I like it so much.
One of the hardest things about this whole 'selling your handmade jewelry' is actually letting it go. I feel like I've put quite a bit of time and effort into these pieces... that's partly why I didn't price them super cheap. All of the details have been carefully considered, icky pearls or stones were thrown out. The pieces were made and re-made until they were just right.
I don't ever want to make jewelry I won't, myself, wear. After all, if I wouldn't wear it, what am I going to do with it if it doesn't sell? That's probably why I'm 100% ok with all of these items not selling. =D If they do sell, I'll be ecstatic too because that means someone likes these necklaces just as much as I do. ))))
What else I've been up to.... Hrmmmm. I've made my own fridge magnets--which was super easy to do.
Materials: tacky glue, magnets you're ok with mutilating (like the flimsy free ones companies used to advertise with i.e. Gentle Dental or Pizza Hut), and art scissors to cut the magnets with.
Items I wanted to make magnets out of: pretty buttons, a 'love' stamp, and a glass ladybug.
All you have to do is: cut the magnets up and glue them to the back of your desired items. Then, let dry for 4-12 hours.
And tada! You're finished. See what I mean by super easy?!
This little project seems like it could be on Pinterest's DIY postings. I still have yet to venture into Pinterest Land... I have a feeling it's pretty addicting though. ^_^
Anyone else have an Etsy shop? I'd love to hear suggestions or stories about your Etsy adventures. :)
